Die Kampfstaffel

 Rommel's command style in North Africa was to stay close to the front lines. This required a small,  highly mobile command staff..... and a security element to protect that staff. The Kampfstaffel ( or "Kasta" for short ), was a unique Kampfgruppe comprised of various services ( tactical & support ) and used many captured British & American vehicles so as not to pull much needed German equipment from the Panzer formations.

The 15. Panzer and sister unit ( 21. Panzer, based in Texas ) have adopted this moniker for joint efforts like coordinating events and annual event calendars. We work very closely with 21. Panzer on and off the field. The two units have uniform & equipment to do North Africa events ( as their primary impression ) as well as Italy & ETO events ( under their secondary impressions ). 

When coordinating / hosting events, the Kasta's goal is to provide well organized tacticals with good authenticity, and fun scenarios. We believe in camaraderie with all, regardless of which "side" they're on. We need each other!
